Montessori Types of Clouds Work

I adopted and adapted an extension of the three part cloud cards from twobusybrunettes for my students. I set up a station with a basket of cotton batting, 4 inch blue construction and lined paper, shaving cream, white glue, chalk, and black paint. The children selected a type of cloud to construct. Cumulus clouds were made with half part shaving cream and half part white glue. (The more glue the longer the cloud will last as the shaving cream does reduce after a few days). Contrails and cirrus clouds were created using chalk. For cumulonimbus clouds we add a few drops of black paint. On the lined paper the students wrote down information about that cloud type.
