Montessori Nerve Cell Work

Over the last two weeks our class has been studying the nervous system. Part of our learning has included neurons. I borrowed and adapted this work from the folks at The Crafty Classroom.

The students create a nerve cell by gluing varying colours of construction paper onto a black background. Afterwards, they label the parts of the neuron using the control I made:

  1. These are great! I’ve actually just studied neurons, etc. in psych (though, hopefully a little more in depth). You can tell your students that they taught me something because just seeing it all laid out plainly suddenly made a lot more sense. I hope they’re proud!
