Peace Tower

A few years ago I had the opportunity to visit the Peace Tower while on a tour of the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa. The tower is 302 and a half feet in height. It features a clock and bell carillon. There are fifty-three bells ranging ranging in size from four and a half to ten thousand kilograms. The Peace Tower was constructed between 1919 and 1922. The architecture is Gothic Revival and the walls are made of sandstone. There are around three hundred and seventy stone carvings on the tower.

Here are the photos from a very chilly morning atop of the Peace Tower. They start looking east and rotate clockwise ending in the north with a view of the Library of Parliament.
