Spring Birding

Photography shoots are one of my goals for this year. Since I have spotted partridges, grebes, and blue jays while out biking recently, I decided to capture some birds this month. I took advantage of a warm May evening to stroll around the Wascana Waterfowls Park Display Ponds. I was in luck and observed a couple species I have not seen before; a Blue-winged Teal and Lesser Scaups. Here are some highlights from my walk:

Yellow-headed blackbird

Canada Geese

Common Grackle

Blue-winged Teal

Canada Goose gosling

Double-crested Cormorants

American Crow – juvenile

Lesser Scaup

Northern Flicker
